Hewlett-Packard Co., the world’s largest printer maker, eliminated more than 1,900 jobs at its printing and imaging unit to help stem profit declines.

Employees in the U.S. last month accepted voluntary severance packages, said a spokeswoman for the Palo Alto-based company. Most worked in Boise, Idaho, and Corvallis, Ore.

HP shares rose 3 cents to $21.03 on the NYSE.
