Advertisers’ Results, Not Clicks, Are True Gauge
If I held Google stock (which I don’t), I would spend all of my spare time online clicking on the text ads that are posted next to the search engine results -- regardless of whether or not I was interested in the products or services being advertised (“Google Impresses Investors as Ads Push Profit Up 500%,” April 22).
I can’t be the only person who has thought of this -- has anyone asked the companies that advertise on Google if their profits are up as a result of advertising on Google?
That’s really the only true measure of success -- the rest of it is a house of cards.
