AIDS Walks
The May 16 article, “AIDS Walks Make a Lasting Imprint,” took me back and brought me forward. I was at that first AIDS Walk Los Angeles in 1985. This year I will be walking with my little granddaughter. To her, I promise this: Her 68-year-old grandpa will keep walking for as long as he can put one foot in front of the other, for as long as this epidemic threatens the lives of my generation and hers.
My thanks to those who are helping to keep this awareness alive.
