This drink says ‘I’m driving’

Nicole Roberge forgot water [“I’ll Have a First Impression, With a Twist!,” Oct. 13]! Either club soda or Vichy or whatever.

And what would guys derive from that?

I live in Virginia, with extremely strict DUI laws. So women, especially, because our bodies don’t metabolize alcohol as rapidly as men’s (and some of us, very much less rapidly), must be extremely cautious if drinking anything alcoholic before they drive. Otherwise their licenses could be surrendered for months, even if no apparent harm resulted. Not to mention the public humiliation, expense, etc. So I hope what a man would think is “she values her health, safety and reputation -- and those of others.”

Of course, as always, it depends on the man.
