Padilla Endorsed by 5 Members of Congress
City Council President Alex Padilla won endorsements Monday for his state Senate bid from five members of Congress: Jane Harman, Juanita Millender-McDonald, Grace Napolitano, Maxine Waters and Diane Watson.
Padilla is running against Assemblywoman Cindy Montanez for the Democratic nomination to replace Richard Alarcon, who has to relinquish the San Fernando Valley’s 20th District seat because of term limits.
The primary is in June.
