Miami of Ohio Rolls Over Cincinnati, 44-16
Josh Betts passed for 359 yards and three touchdowns to help Miami of Ohio (2-2) to a 44-16 victory over Cincinnati on Wednesday night at Oxford, Ohio.
Betts, a senior who sat out the game’s first series for violating an unspecified team rule, completed 22 of 35 passes.
The Bearcats (2-2) were held to 66 rushing yards in 27 carries.

Receiver Chancellor Young, son of former NFL and USC standout Charlie Young, has received a scholarship at Washington. Young was a standout at Seattle’s O’Dea High but spurned his hometown university to sign with Duke. Young caught two passes for 15 yards in his freshman season with the Blue Devils before deciding to transfer.... Missouri Southern Coach John Ware died of a heart attack, an autopsy confirmed. Ware, 46, was found slumped over his office desk Tuesday morning and was pronounced dead later.
Quarterback Rick Clausen, who guided Tennessee to a comeback victory over Louisiana State on Monday, was named the Volunteer starter.... Georgia offensive guard Josh Brock sustained a possible concussion in practice and might give up playing.... Air Force (2-2, 1-2) will try to stop a two-game losing streak when it travels to Fort Collins, Colo., tonight for a Mountain West Conference game against rival Colorado State (1-2), which is playing its conference opener.
