Felipe Dupouy has spent nearly a decade taking pictures of downtown L.A. When he looked up at the buildings in the garment district, especially these on Broadway between 8th and 9th streets, “I became really curious about what was inside,” the Silver Lake photographer recalls. “Photography is just the excuse to ask, ‘What’s in here? Can I go in here?’ ”
Sometimes he didn’t wait for an answer.
“Shoot first and ask later. I’m selfish like that.”
