Nvidia is subpoenaed in U.S. antitrust probe

Graphics chip maker Nvidia Corp. said it had received a subpoena from the U.S. Justice Department as part of a probe into potential antitrust violations involving graphics processing units and cards.

Nvidia said that no specific allegations had been made against the company and that it planned to cooperate with the department.

Chip maker Advanced Micro Devices Inc. had said late Thursday that it had been subpoenaed as part of a Justice Department investigation into the graphics processing market.
