Big West Conference

Long Beach State (5-6, 0-0) at UC Santa Barbara (5-7, 0-2), 2 p.m. -- Long Beach pushed its winning streak to three by defeating UC Davis on Monday. The Gauchos are 5-0 at home and 0-7 on the road after losing to Fullerton on Wednesday. They will be without leading scorer Cecil Brown, who sustained a sprain to a ligament in his left knee in the Fullerton game.

UC Riverside (1-11, 1-1) at Pacific (9-4, 0-0), 3 p.m. -- This is a matchup between a team that was winless during nonconference play and the defending conference champion. The Tigers have won all eight previous meetings with Riverside, dating to Dec. 24, 2002.

UC Irvine (4-8, 0-0) at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo (4-8, 2-0), 4 p.m. -- Cal Poly surprised Fullerton and also defeated Riverside last week -- both on the road. The Anteaters have a five-game losing streak, the latest setback, 66-63, to Davis on Wednesday.

Cal State Fullerton (7-4, 1-1) at Cal State Northridge (5-5, 0-0), 4 p.m. -- Northridge, which lost in the last second to Fairfield last Friday, has dropped two straight. Fullerton, the preseason choice of Big West coaches, rebounded from the upset loss to Cal Poly by defeating Santa Barbara.

West Coast Conference

San Diego (10-3, 0-0) at Loyola Marymount (3-11, 0-0), 3 p.m., FSN West -- Hot vs. not. The Toreros have won nine of their last 10; the Lions have lost five straight.

San Francisco (4-9, 0-0) at Pepperdine (4-8, 0-0), 7 p.m. -- The Waves were humbled, 69-49, at home by Oklahoma State on Tuesday. The Dons have a four-game losing streak after dropping a 65-60 decision at Fresno State on Dec. 29.
