Moss conquers Memphis

Supermodel Kate Moss celebrated her birthday with uber-photographer Mario Testino on Saturday at Memphis, where the lovely lass kicked it in Janes Room -- the name bestowed the VIP area of the historic Victorian cottage known as Janes House. Decorated with a multitude of rose petals and floral arrangements, the VIP room holed up Moss and about 10 close pals.... It was a big week for the Hollywood hotspot, which was also visited by Jessica Alba, Cash Warren, Jamie Foxx, Chris Rock, Eva Longoria, Kanye West, Hilary Swank and Ryan Seacrest. Co-owner Gordon Bijelonic says he modeled Memphis after Hotel Costes, a hotel in Paris. And in two weeks, Bijelonic, who also owns a private jet company and is a partner in hip-hop label Babygrande Records, plans to debut his next Hollywood venue, Citizen Smith, which was designed by the folks behind Koi and Tao. You’ll find Citizen Smith at 1600 Cahuenga Blvd. (at Selma Avenue).

Shaq posts up at Knitting Factory

Shaquille O’Neal threw pals a holiday bash celebrating MLK Day on Sunday night at the Knitting Factory in H-Town. The big man entertained such notables as Gabrielle Union, Regina King, Bill Maher and comedian Alex Thomas. And we hear DJ Gigi Sweet rocked so hard you could actually feel Miami heat in the house.... The Dolce Group (Dolce Enoteca, Geisha House and Bella Cucina) is expanding its budding empire across state lines. The group has plans to open three restaurants in Atlanta in June, including a Geisha House, Dolce and a spot called KingPin, which owners Lonnie Moore and Mike Malin describe as an adult playground.... Word is that Rick Calamaro is unveiling his latest nightclub, Holly’s, tonight at the former Paladar (next to Nacional on Wilcox Avenue). As for its character, think small and opulent.... Playboy’s getting jiggy at the Sutra Lounge in Costa Mesa. Celebutante Adrianne Curry threw a bash there last week to celebrate her Playboy cover (February 2006). And tomorrow night, Playboy vixen Cassandra Lynn plans to celebrate her new photo spread in the mag along with her guests of honor, the Playboy Cyber Girls....Axl Rose made a midnight appearance at Korn’s ghoulish bash on Friday at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. Also kicking it with Korn, which was celebrating its upcoming world tour, were members of Good Charlotte, Puddle of Mudd, Avenged Sevenfold and Alkaline Trio.
