Police were searching Wednesday for a woman they believe has information about the fatal stabbing of her 42-year-old boyfriend in Northridge.

Kimberly Carter, 43, is believed to be driving the victim’s black Chevrolet Tahoe and may be headed to Las Vegas or Henderson, Nev., where she owns property, said Lt. Paul Vernon, a Los Angeles Police Department spokesman.

Vernon said that last weekend, Carter argued with her mother and threw her out of the house. The mother returned to the house in the 11200 block of Garden Grove Avenue on Tuesday night to retrieve some belongings and found the body of the 6-foot-5, 260-pound victim with stab wounds to the torso.

Carter is on federal probation for a bank robbery in the Detroit area, he said. She is 5 foot 5 and 150 pounds.

Anyone with information is asked to call LAPD Devonshire homicide detectives at (818) 832-0537.
