A&E; has purchased a comedy pilot that was screened last fall at the first New York Television Festival, the first program to get picked up out of the festival’s inaugural year.

The unscripted show, produced by James Murray, features comedians improvising dialogue for silent video clips of people who are unaware they are on camera.

Originally called “Criss-Cross,” A&E; renamed the show “I Never Said That” and has acquired it for the network’s development slate.
