Pedestrian Killed Crossing the Street

A 29-year-old Garden Grove man died Sunday after being struck by a car in Anaheim, police said.
The pedestrian, whose name wasn’t released, was crossing Katella Avenue near Nutwood Street about 1:30 a.m. when he was hit by an eastbound Toyota Corolla, Sgt. Tom Mathisen said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The driver, a 63-year-old Anaheim man, wasn’t cited, but the case was still under investigation, Mathisen said.
