The former personal assistant to record producer Phil Spector has sued him for sexual harassment and breach of contract.

Spector, who is facing trial on murder charges in the 2003 shooting death of actress Lana Clarkson, had sued his assistant, Michelle Blaine, alleging that she siphoned hundreds of thousands of dollars from his accounts.

Last week Blaine countersued, alleging that Spector had authorized all payments to her, including the gift of a house. Blaine also claimed that Spector sexually harassed her, on one occasion asking her to find him a prostitute for the night.

“We believe there is very, very powerful evidence that Michelle Blaine acted not only appropriately but that she was very, very badly treated by Mr. Spector,” said Blaine’s attorney, Tim Reuben. “We believe punitive damages should be in the millions.”

Spector’s attorney could not be reached for comment.

Spector, 65, is the producer behind hits such as “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feeling” and “The Long and Winding Road.”

He faces trial in September on charges that he shot Clarkson, 40, in his Alhambra mansion on Feb. 3, 2003. He is free on $1-million bail.
