Suspect Sought in Car Owner’s Shooting Death

A man was killed early Thursday after confronting a car burglar in the 12600 block of Mitchell Avenue, police said.
John Rocha, 39, a grocery store manager and father of three, left his apartment with a pellet gun to investigate noise near his carport about 3 a.m., Los Angeles police said. He confronted a man trying to burglarize his car. The man fired a shot at Rocha, then fled through an alley, police said.
