Three Convicted in Theft of Munch Masterpieces

An Oslo court convicted three men of involvement in the theft of the Edvard Munch masterpieces “The Scream” and “Madonna” and sentenced them to four to eight years in prison.
Two men were found guilty of providing the getaway car. A third man was found guilty of driving it. Three others, including the suspected mastermind, were acquitted.
The works, snatched from the Munch Museum in Oslo in August 2004, are still missing.
