NATO Sees Threat in Long-Range Missiles

NATO countries face a growing threat of attack by long-range missiles, a senior alliance official said as he presented a study on options for a missile shield system to protect Europe.
Marshall Billingslea, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization’s assistant secretary-general for defense investment, spoke in Belgium about a four-year study. He declined to say who might pose such a threat or to assess the level of danger.
