Songs from the heart in Hollywood
It’s not every day that an illustrious pop singer turns 80, as Tony Bennett did in August, and it’s even more rare to find that singer still able to belt out some tunes in fine form for the occasion. Bennett’s age-defying odyssey brings him to the Kodak Theatre tonight, where he’ll be saluted by members of the entertainment world’s elite, including George Clooney, Billy Crystal, Paul Newman, Jack Nicholson, Bruce Willis and Quincy Jones, and join voices with such youngsters as Marc Anthony, Kelly Clarkson, Madeleine Peyroux and Rascal Flatts.
Tony Bennett, Kodak Theatre, 6801 Hollywood Blvd., Hollywood, 7:30 tonight. $50 to $250. (323) 308-6300.
