Correa gains on Daucher in 34th Senate District
Democrat Lou Correa continued to close the gap between himself and Republican Lynn Daucher in the 34th District state Senate race, narrowing her lead to 361 votes as the ballot count resumed Monday.
Daucher led by just 13 votes on election night, but increased her lead to 833 votes as county voting officials tallied absentee ballots. On Saturday, however, the margin dropped to 764 votes.
With an estimated 6,000 votes remaining to be counted, Daucher had 50.2% of the vote, compared with Correa’s 49.8%
