* Baltimore 9, at Tampa Bay 7: Melvin Mora and Freddie Bynum each hit a two-run homer and the Orioles overcame a six-run deficit. Bynum’s RBI grounder during a five-run seventh put Baltimore ahead, 8-7.
* at Boston 7, Angels 2: The Red Sox outscored the Angels, 25-3, in a three-game sweep.
