Re “FEMA to buy back trailers due to formaldehyde worries,” Aug. 11

The Federal Emergency Management Agency has not made any permanent decisions regarding the use and sale of travel trailers. FEMA has asked health and safety experts to investigate the trailers for the possible health risks and has temporarily suspended deploying the trailers or selling units to interested buyers until the study’s results are evaluated and considered.

A statement from FEMA also noted that the agency would continue to provide manufactured housing regulated by the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
