A Rialto man was arrested Monday on suspicion of killing a friend of his estranged wife and then fleeing with the couple’s four children.
Joseph Sanchez, 28, stabbed Joe Alonso Madrigal, 27, on Sunday after the pair argued at the home of Sanchez’s wife in San Bernardino, according to San Bernardino Police Lt. Brian Boom.
The couple’s four children, from 8 months to 6 years old, were at Sanchez’s Rialto residence at the time of the slaying. Police issued an Amber Alert after he allegedly left with them.
Sanchez and the children were spotted by a motorist on the 210 Freeway late Monday afternoon. He was taken into custody without incident and was being held without bail.
