A medical record you can wear
In your article on keeping medical records [“Your Health History Gets a Better ‘Box,’ ” Dec. 10], you left out one important resource: The MedicAlert bracelet or necklace. I’ve worn the bracelet 17 years. I have always found it to be helpful, when going into the hospital, or seeing a new provider, to hand them the information that MedicAlert gives you.
Besides the bracelet, I carry their card in my wallet, which lists my allergies to medicines and what anyone needs to know about my medical problems.
