Bryan Unger is elected FilmL.A. chairman
FilmL.A. Inc., the nonprofit group that coordinates film permits for the Los Angeles region, has elected labor relations veteran Bryan Unger as chairman of its board of directors.
Unger, who serves as Western executive director of the Directors Guild of America, replaces outgoing Chairwoman Jean Prewitt, chief executive of the Independent Film & Television Alliance.
Unger, who joined FilmL.A.’s board in 2003, will lead a group of 24 members who represent production companies, neighborhoods, unions and vendors. Board chairs serve one-year terms.
