CBS scoops up Image Awards
CBS scored the most nominations for the 38th annual NAACP Image Awards, a development that has raised the issue of a potential conflict of interest because of the civil rights organization’s link to the network. Bruce S. Gordon, chairman of the NAACP, sits on the board of directors for CBS. Gordon and representatives for the NAACP could not be reached for comment Wednesday.
The CBS network led with 19 nominations, followed by the CW with 17. The 38th NAACP Image Awards will air live March 2 on Fox.
