Though Hollywood may be ruled by the bottom-line breakdowns, there were no clear winners in the studio race for nominations. Paramount and newly acquired DreamWorks may look like it’s one of the big nominations winners, but the categories in which those nominations did (and didn’t) come through shade this as a disappointing day. Warner Bros., for years an Oscar stepchild, racked up some big nods. Here’s a look at the studios that garnered three or more nominations.

Miramax/Buena Vista...20

Warner Bros....20*

Paramount/DreamWorks/

Paramount Vantage/ Paramount Classics...19*

*Note: DreamWorks and Warner Bros. shared in the two nominations given to “Flags of Our Fathers.”
