Qwest CEO says he will retire

Richard Notebaert announced plans to retire as chairman and chief executive of Qwest Communications International Inc.
Notebaert, 59, said he would leave the Denver-based telecommunications company after the board of directors selects a replacement. He is the third top-ranking Qwest executive to announce plans to leave this year.
Qwest shares fell 81 cents, or 8%, to $9.36.
