The Los Angeles Free Clinic has received the largest single gift in its 40-year history, a $3-million grant from the Annenberg Foundation to open its first clinic primarily for children.
The Wallis Annenberg Children & Family Health Center will open this fall on the second floor of the Hollywood Wilshire Health Center, 5205 Melrose Ave. The children’s clinic will be able to treat 7,200 medical patients and 3,400 dental patients a year.
The nonprofit group, which also has clinics on Beverly and Hollywood boulevards, serves 21,000 patients a year.
