Prince Fielder homered twice and scored the go-ahead run in the Milwaukee Brewers’ 6-4 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates on Sunday.

The Brewers (21-10) are 11 games over .500 for the first time since 1992. They have won three games in a row and seven of eight.

Fielder led off the eighth inning with a single and scored from second base with one out on Bill Hall’s single to put the Brewers ahead, 5-4. After he eluded catcher Ryan Doumit’s tag on a throw up the third-base line, Fielder popped up and repeatedly punched his fists toward the Pirates’ bench.

“Obviously, he wasn’t very pleased with getting hit last night, but can you blame him?” Pittsburgh Manager Jim Tracy said.

Doumit wasn’t as diplomatic.

“It was a nice slide,” Doumit said. “My hat is off to him, but I think that’s pretty bush league what he did afterward.”

Said Fielder, who homered in the second and fourth innings: “I am just here to play baseball, and do the talking on the field.”
