* at Tampa Bay 11, Texas 8: Carl Crawford tripled with the bases loaded and Delmon Young drove in three runs to lead the Devil Rays at Kissimmee, Fla. Sammy Sosa hit his 597th homer in the fourth inning for the Rangers, who led, 6-4, before the Devil Rays scored six runs in the fifth -- the last three on Crawford’s third triple of the season. Sosa’s two-run shot was his ninth of the year and extended his major league record for most ballparks homered in to 45.

* at Cleveland 7, Minnesota 1: C.C. Sabathia pitched eight sharp innings and Trot Nixon drove in three runs for the Indians. Sabathia (6-1) gave up five hits, struck out five, walked one and hit a batter. Nixon drove in two runs with a single in the fifth and had a sacrifice fly in the seventh.

* at Toronto 2, Baltimore 1: A.J. Burnett pitched a three-hitter with 10 strikeouts and Troy Glaus singled home the go-ahead run as the Blue Jays completed their first three-game sweep of the season. Burnett (4-3) walked two in his 17th career complete game. He also struck out 10 in his previous start.

* at Chicago 5-1, New York 3-8: Chien-Ming Wang gave up six hits and a run over seven innings and Hideki Matsui drove in four runs to lead the Yankees to a split of a doubleheader against the White Sox. In the first game, Chicago rookie left-hander John Danks worked out of a couple of tight jams and outpitched veteran Mike Mussina.

* Kansas City 4, at Oakland 3: Ryan Shealy came off the disabled list to hit a go-ahead RBI single in the ninth inning. Odalis Perez pitched six shutout innings and gave up only one hit for Kansas City. The Athletics’ Joe Blanton retired 18 straight batters after Shealy’s single in the second.

* Detroit at Boston, ppd., rain: The game will be made up today as part of a day-night doubleheader.

* Angels 5, at Seattle 0: John Lackey threw six strong innings, retiring 14 straight batters after Ichiro Suzuki lined his first pitch into center field for a single. Lackey gave up four hits, struck out four and walked one -- intentionally.
