Hot-dogging it for 15 years
The KROQ Weenie Roast y Fiesta, the rock station’s annual summer’s-coming blowout, marks its 15th edition with a special-occasion headliner, favorite sons Linkin Park, returning from a long hiatus with their new, Rick Rubin-produced album. The Queens of the Stone Age, the Bravery and Interpol, among others, also have new music to introduce, and the Killers make their third Weenie Roast appearance in the last four years. Other highlights figure to be the Silversun Pickups, riding the rush of their Coachella performance, and Tim Armstrong stepping out of his Rancid shoes and into a solo set.
KROQ Weenie Roast y Fiesta. Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre, 8808 Irvine Center Drive, Irvine. 12:30 p.m. Saturday. $55 to $65 (sold out). (949) 855-8096.
