* No. 19 Boise State 52, at Utah State 0: Taylor Tharp threw for 283 yards and two touchdowns in only three quarters as the Broncos (9-1, 6-0) routed the Aggies (0-10, 0-6) in a Western Athletic Conference game at Logan. Boise State blocked a punt for a touchdown, blocked a field-goal attempt and forced four turnovers, including three interceptions, and is hoping to make a late run to join the Bowl Championship Series race. “Whatever comes to us in the end will be whatever we deserve,” said running back Ian Johnson, who rushed for 110 yards. “If you go out seeking to impress people, a lot of times you’re going to end up short-handed. If people are impressed, they’re impressed. If they’re not, then we’re at no loss because of it.”

* at San Jose State 51, New Mexico State 17: Adam Tafralis threw for 317 yards and two touchdowns, setting a school record for career total offense as the Spartans (4-6, 3-3) beat the Aggies (4-7, 1-5) in a WAC game. Tafralis has 7,363 yards in total offense, passing Jeff Garcia on the Spartans’ all-time list. Chase Holbrook set his own school record for New Mexico State by passing for 318 yards, completing 30 of 49 tries. He has 7,795 yards in his career.

* at Utah 50, Wyoming 0: Darrell Mack ran for 97 yards and two touchdowns and the Utes (7-3, 4-2) held the Cowboys (5-5, 2-4) to 122 yards of offense for a win in a Mountain West Conference game at Salt Lake City. Utah forced five turnovers and had six sacks.

* at New Mexico 26, Colorado State 23: John Sullivan kicked four field goals, including a 43-yarder as time expired, to lift the Lobos (7-3, 4-2) over the Rams (1-9, 1-6) in a Mountain West game at Albuquerque.

* North Dakota State 31, at Cal Poly SLO 28: Steve Walker threw an 80-yard touchdown pass to Kole Heckendorf with 38 seconds left in the game to complete a furious fourth-quarter rally for the Bison (10-0, 3-0) as it beat the Mustangs (6-4, 2-2) in a Great West Conference game. Cal Poly led, 28-9, in the fourth quarter.

* San Diego 27, at Morehead State 14: Josh Johnson threw for 211 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Toreros (9-1, 6-1) over the Eagles (7-3, 5-2) in a Pioneer League game at Morehead, Ky.

* Redlands 38, at Cal Lutheran 17: Jordan Ross returned an interception 37 yards for a touchdown in the first half and Mike Nicolini returned another 28 yards for another score in the second half to lead the Bulldogs (8-1, 5-1) over the Kingsmen (5-4, 5-1) as the teams clinched a share of the SCIAC title.

* at Claremont-Mudd 27, Pomona-Pitzer 22: Mike Hirokawa scored his second touchdown of the game, a five-yard run, with 2:52 left to lift the Stags (3-6, 2-4) over the Sagehens (2-7, 1-5) in a SCIAC game.

* Chapman 31, at La Verne 27: Brandon Koller caught a 44-yard touchdown pass from Eric Marty early in the fourth quarter and that proved to be the winning points as the Panthers (5-2) held off the Leopards (1-8) in a nonconference game. Kaeo Kane had a 54-yard interception return for a touchdown for Chapman.
