* at Dallas 6, Colorado 1: Jussi Jokinen scored four goals, including a second-period hat trick in about seven minutes, and the Stars ended a four-game home losing streak. Earlier, the Stars put defenseman Mattias Norstrom on the injured list because of a facial fracture.
* at Vancouver 6, Minnesota 2: Averaging a league-low 1.67 goals on home ice, the Canucks jumped to a 4-0 lead in the first 16:32, matching their goal total from the previous four home games.
* New York Islanders 1, at New Jersey 0: Josef Vasicek’s short-handed goal in the second period lifted the Islanders and prevented Devils goalie Martin Brodeur from reaching 500 wins.
* at Buffalo 4, Montreal 1: Clarke MacArthur scored twice and Ryan Miller made 36 saves to lead the Sabres, who stopped a three-game losing streak.
* Atlanta 3, at Carolina 0: Marian Hossa had two goals and an assist, his second multigoal game of the season, to lead the Thrashers.
* at St. Louis 3, Columbus 2: The Blues broke through against Blue Jackets goalie Pascal Leclaire, who shut them out twice this season. St. Louis has won two straight after losing three in a row.
* at Tampa Bay 5, Washington 2: Vincent Lecavalier had a goal and two assists to extend his team record for consecutive multipoint games to seven. The Lightning won its fifth straight.
