* Houston 100, at Phoenix 94: Yao Ming had 31 points and 13 rebounds, scoring eight of the Rockets’ final 13 points in their third straight victory following a six-game losing streak. Yao made 12 of 19 shots. The Suns got to within 96-94 with 50 seconds left before having its home winning streak end at five.

* Orlando 110, at Seattle 94: Dwight Howard dominated the SuperSonics for a career-high 39 points and 16 rebounds, including nine dunks. He also made 15 of 20 free throws. Rashard Lewis struggled in his first game back in Seattle, scoring nine points while missing 16 of 19 shots.

* at Dallas 109, Minnesota 103: Dirk Nowitzki had 27 points, going 13 of 13 from the free-throw line, to help the Mavericks end a three-game losing streak and improve to 7-1 at home. In response to the losing streak, Jason Terry and Erick Dampier started in place of Trenton Hassell and DeSegana Diop.

* Utah 106, at Philadelphia 95: Carlos Boozer scored 12 of his 26 points in the fourth quarter to lead the Jazz. Boozer was 12 of 17 from the field despite tweaking his right ankle before halftime. Deron Williams had 15 points and 15 assists for the Jazz, which rebounded from a Monday loss at New York.

* at Toronto 103, Memphis 91: Losing Chris Bosh (groin) and Andrea Bargnani (knee) to injuries, the Raptors had seven double-figures scorers, led by Anthony Parker with 19 points, in beating the Grizzlies. The status of Bosh and Bargnani had not been determined.

* Indiana 95, at Portland 89: Mike Dunleavy had 20 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Pacers to victory on consecutive nights in beating the Trail Blazers for the eighth straight time. The Pacers again didn’t have Jermaine O’Neal (sore knee) but have won four of five without him.

* Golden State 103, at Sacramento 96: Stephen Jackson made two three-point baskets in a 20-second span late in the fourth quarter to help erase a four-point deficit as the Warriors scored the game’s final nine points. Golden State’s Matt Barnes played despite the Tuesday death of his mother, Ann.

* at San Antonio 109, Washington 94: Tony Parker had eight straight points during a decisive stretch of the fourth quarter and finished with 29 points, eight rebounds and 11 assists for the Spurs. Caron Butler and Antawn Jamison scored a combined 28 points on nine-for-24 shooting for Washington.

* at Atlanta 96, Milwaukee 80: Josh Childress scored six points in a 13-2 run midway through the final quarter and the Hawks broke open a close game to beat the Bucks for only the fourth time in their last 13 meetings. Joe Johnson led six Hawks in double figures with 21 points.

* at Detroit 109, Cleveland 74: LeBron James sprained his left index finger in the second quarter and did not return as the Pistons turned a five-point halftime lead into a rout. The Cavaliers said X-rays were negative, adding James would be evaluated again today.
