Look what’s in the backyard

I enjoyed learning some new things about feijoas (a.k.a. pineapple guavas) and the trees they grow on [“A Quiet Scene-Stealer,” Oct. 18]. We have one in our backyard. The fruit isn’t that good from ours, but the agua fresca idea is great.

I’m writing to let you know that they can sometimes be found at farmers markets for much less, probably less than $1.99 per pound! Of course, they may not taste as good. Happy tasting!
