From Times Staff Writers
A 23-year-old Van Nuys man was arrested and booked Saturday afternoon on suspicion of felony hit and run and manslaughter in connection with an accident that killed another Van Nuys man late Friday night.
Los Angeles police said Juan Antonio Lopez was trying to park his car when he struck the victim, Ever Robinson Chavez, 24, pinning him against a parking lot retaining wall in the 7000 block of Lennox Avenue in Van Nuys.
Police said Lopez left the scene without stopping to identify himself or to help Chavez, who died at the scene.
