Man eating burger falls to his death from balcony

A man eating a hamburger on his balcony in Old Town Temecula fell 40 feet to his death, authorities said Tuesday.
Police say Michael Fernandez, 24, went onto the balcony about 10:30 p.m. Saturday and shortly after fell from the fourth floor. A passerby found the unconscious man, said Temecula Police Sgt. Bill DeLuna.
“There is nothing to indicate foul play or suicide. It looks like a freak accident,” DeLuna said. “According to his friends and family he often sat on the balcony.”
The accident occurred in the new Dalton Building on 5th Street.
