Gunman exits car, shoots two teens
Two teenagers were shot Friday in front of a residence by a gunman who stepped out of a vehicle and fired multiple shots, police said. The victims, 14 and 15, were each shot once in the leg and are expected to recover, said Lt. Craig Brower.
The attack occurred about 1 p.m. when an occupant of an older black compact vehicle got out of the vehicle and shot the boys in the 200 block of West Ash Avenue, near Harbor Boulevard, police said. Brower said investigators suspect that the shooting is gang-related.
Police were not sure how many suspects were in the vehicle, which sped away on Ash.
