We missed Johnny Depp this year as Capt. Jack Sparrow, that preening, seafaring adventurer who’s been a summer movie scene regular for the last few years in the “Pirates of the Caribbean” adventure film franchise. Last year, we got a treat, a second helping of Depp with the musical “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.” This year? Zilch. Nada. Zip.
