* Houston 6, at New York 4 (10 innings): Brad Ausmus led off the 10th inning with his second homer this season, Darin Erstad hit his third three batters later and the Astros overcame two homers by Carlos Beltran.
* at St. Louis 6, Atlanta 3: Albert Pujols hit a two-run home run and Braden Looper (12-10) matched his victory total from 2007 in his first season as a starter.
* at Milwaukee 4, Pittsburgh 3 (12 innings) : J.J. Hardy singled in the winning run and Mike Cameron was five for five, including a home run, for the Brewers.
* at San Francisco 7, San Diego 4: Bengie Molina homered and drove in five runs and the Giants completed a three-game sweep.
* at Colorado 4, Cincinnati 3 (12 innings): Omar Quintanilla homered with one out in the 12th inning and the Rockies took advantage of five errors to beat the Reds.
* Florida 5, at Arizona 2: Josh Willingham homered and drove in two runs to back Ricky Nolasco (13-7), who scattered three hits over 7 1/3 innings for the Marlins.
* at Philadelphia 5, Dodgers 2 (11 innings): Pedro Feliz hit three-run homer with two outs in the 11th inning. His single had tied the score in the ninth.
