Jet collision kills Air Force pilot
From Times Wire Reports
An Air Force fighter pilot died after his jet and another apparently collided during a training exercise and crashed in the Gulf of Mexico, officials said. The other pilot was expected to survive.
The single-seat F-15C Eagles crashed off the Florida Panhandle, said Col. Todd Harmer, commander of the 33rd Fighter Wing, 58th Fighter Squadron. The pilots had ejected and were later pulled out of the water.
The cause of the accident was under investigation.
