Man killed sliding down escalator

A man fell to his death as he was trying to slide down the hand rail of the escalator in the Hollywood & Highland complex, authorities said Sunday.
The incident Saturday night involving Roger Zidowsky, 39, of Valencia was “a tragic accident,” said Los Angeles Police Department Sgt. Michael Barela. Authorities say Zidowsky had been drinking. The center houses the Kodak Theatre and several nightclubs.
