State sues firm, citing labor law

California is suing a drywall contractor, claiming the company denied about $5 million in overtime pay and other benefits to hundreds of employees.
The lawsuit against Interwall Development Systems Inc. in Los Angeles County Superior Court seeks an order to force the company to pay the alleged overtime. A telephone call seeking comment from Interwall wasn’t answered.
