AFTER the canceled Golden Globes gala, the cast of “Mad Men” had one of the only parties in town at the Chateau Marmont, where they celebrated their double win with crew members. Two days before the Screen Actors Guild Awards, the stars of the AMC show, including Jon Hamm, John Slattery and January Jones, returned to the lucky party spot not only to bask in their SAG, Directors Guild and Writers Guild nominations, but also in their new Lionsgate deal, which lets WGA members return to work on the show’s upcoming sophomore season. After the ceremony, winners and losers alike headed to the Shrine Exposition Center back lot for the People/Entertainment Industry Foundation gala, where 100,000 white roses and a Wolfgang Puck feast awaited. Michael McDonald crooned to the star-studded crowd, which included Kate Hudson, Javier Bardem, America Ferrera and Tina Fey. While “Grey’s Anatomy” lost to “The Sopranos,” Sandra Oh just seemed happy to reunite with former cast mate Kate Walsh. More low-key: HBO’s shindig for 150 at Spago, where nominee Jeremy Piven puffed on a cigar, perhaps better suited for James Gandolfini. While Robert Iler showed off “The Sopranos’ ” ensemble award, “Entourage’s” Adrian Grenier and Kevin Connolly settled for ceramic dogs. Hey, there’s always next year, guys!
