at Oakland 3, Seattle 2 (11 innings): Jack Cust and Kurt Suzuki hit solo homers in the ninth inning, and Emil Brown hit another solo shot in the 11th. It was Brown’s first career game-winning home run.
at Cleveland 13, Tampa Bay 2: Ben Francisco had a career-high four RBIs and hit one of the Indians’ four home runs as they ended a 10-game losing streak. “It feels pretty good. . . . a lot better than what we had been doing. That stunk,” said Casey Blake, who homered.
at Kansas City 4, Chicago 1: Mark Teahen’s inside-the-park home run capped a four-run rally in the eighth inning. Mike Aviles and Jose Guillen hit RBI doubles to give the Royals a 2-1 lead after Mark Buehrle had shut them out on four hits over the first seven innings.
at Toronto 6, Baltimore 5: Adam Lind singled in the go-ahead run in the ninth inning, and the Blue Jays rallied to beat the Orioles to complete a three-game sweep.
Minnesota 7, at Detroit 6 (11 innings): Justin Morneau, who matched a career high with five hits, lined an 11th-inning homer with two out into the right-field stands.
Angels 11, at Texas 10 (11 innings): John Lackey gave up 15 hits, tying the Angels’ record for a starter set by Paul Hartzell on Sept. 9, 1976.
