A ‘Knight’ writer was left hidden
I THINK it’s a little strange that writer David Goyer’s contribution and name are completely absent from Geoff Boucher’s story on “The Dark Knight” [“A Dark and Stormy ‘Knight,’ ” July 6] and that there was no recognition of him from the film’s director, Christopher Nolan, in any of the quotes.
Goyer does have “story by” on “The Dark Night” but definitely co-wrote the screenplay on “Batman Begins” with Christopher Nolan. As Boucher pointed out, “Batman Begins” brought new and critically acclaimed life into the franchise, and Goyer should have at least been mentioned in the part of the story where Boucher writes about “Batman Begins.”
