People Meter launch to resume
Arbitron Inc., which measures audiences of U.S. radio stations, will resume introduction of its People Meter electronic rating system, eight months after announcing delays in the service.
The rollout in eight markets, including New York, Los Angeles and Chicago, follows a series of meetings with clients, New York-based Arbitron said. Ratings using the new system will be released in October.
Arbitron halted introduction of the system after radio companies and community organizations complained that it undercounted certain age and minority groups.
