Re “Sub-prime sense,” editorial, June 18
This obviously well-intentioned editorial supports legislation that smacks of closing the barn door after the horse has escaped.
The only effect of the proposed legislation mentioned will be to deny credit to more buyers. This would have the effect of postponing any stability in residential real estate values at a time when most folks are desperate to see this plunge in values end.
