Do we need another Hollywood Strike?

In light of the writers strike, the entertainment industry should downsize, regroup, clean house and raise the bar (“Seismic Shift,” by Rachel Abramowitz, Feb. 3). Have you noticed the general mediocrity of the scripts churned out by the industry? How many more sequels to “Batman,” “Rambo” and “Spider-Man” do we need? How many more dull TV shows must there be in which the same script is rehashed?

From my perspective, TV viewers and moviegoers should strike until the unionized writers can hatch stories that are original, dramatic, funny, witty and entertaining.
