Bacharach tribute to benefit AIDS Project Los Angeles
Carole Cook, Donna McKechnie and Justin Guarini will be among the performers paying tribute to composer Burt Bacharach at the Wilshire Theatre in Beverly Hills this weekend at the 24th annual Southland Theatre Artists Goodwill Event to raise money for AIDS Project Los Angeles.
The entertainment will include an adaptation of Bacharach’s Broadway musical “Promises, Promises” featuring Vicki Lewis and Daniel Gurwin.
“Blame It on Bacharach!” also will feature artists such as Melissa Manchester, Betty Garrett, Deniece Williams, Stephen Bishop, Marilu Henner and Nancy Dussault performing music by Bacharach, whose hits include “Raindrops Keep Fallin’ on My Head,” “The Look of Love” and “Walk On By.”
